Our America mobilizes artists and NYC community members of all ages to create temporary chalk murals in public spaces using handwritten text to assert belonging and cultural plurality as an act of creative resistance within FALL OF FREEDOM’s national call. Participants will repeatedly inscribe the Woody Guthrie verse, “This land is your land, this land is my land,” to form large-scale typographic murals that affirm America as a space of shared opportunity, not limited to the wealthy or privileged.
